From: "Nan Ross" Subject: Jacob Brookover Date: Sat, 22 Oct 2005 13:35:54 -0500 For those who have proved (or are in the process of proving) Jacob Brookover (1739-) as an their first American ancestor, Annette Burgert's book Brethern From Gimbshiem In The Palatinate To Ephrata And Bermudian in Pennsylvania is a marvelous resource. It can be purchased from Willow Bend Books, 65 E. Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157-5026 for only $12.00. Their phone number is 1-800-876-6103. Below are a few facts on the Bruckhoffer's from page 10: From the Gimbshiem Reformed Kirchebook: Joh. Michael Bruckhoffer married 20 October 1703, daughter of Valentine Muth . Michael Bruckhoffer, m. 6 May 1738 Anna Catharina, daughter of Johann Philipp Oswald, Gemeinsmann here. Children: 1. Johann Jacob b. 16 February 1739, baptised same day. Sponsor Johann Jacob Kimmel, Citizen here. [children: Johannes (bp 1740); Anna Christina died before the family came to America] [Children coming to America: Johann Jacob, Johann Conrad, Johannes (b. 1746) and Johann Philipp] There is information in the book on other families connected with the book.
