Henry Boston Sr., (D: 1676, had also an illegitimate son, Richard Boston, (D: 1707/08), whose mother was one Judith Best, later wife of Thomas Davis, tailor.

Marriage banns, 12 Jun 1677, Henry Lewis, of Anne Arundel County, and Elizabeth Boston, widow of Henry Boston Sr., of Somerset County. The settlement of the estate of Henry Boston Sr., (D: 1676), in May-Aug 1677, proves wife Elizabeth and sons Henry, Isaac and Esau; daughters, Rebecca Millner and Anne Boston. These estate records call Isaac and Esau Boston, "natural sons" to distinguish them as legitimately born from Richard Boston, who is described as "bastard child" of Judith Best, begotten by Henry Boston Sr.

Henry Boston was born in England About 1620 and came to Virginia as an indentured servant. He was a Presbyterian and was a headright, and Justice of the Peace in Maryland. He had an illegitimate child by his indentured servant Judith Best. The child was born 8 Mar 1669/70 in Somerset Co. His marriage was to Anne Unknown about 1655.
