Old street directories reveal that Alexander Barton and his brother-in-law William Arnold had brass foundries in the center (centre?) of Liverpool, England between the years of 1850 to 1880. |
Alexander Barton was a master copper smith. Records traced in the Liverpool Reference Library through entries in St. John's Church Marriage Register indicate that Alexander Barton and his wife Frances Barton were the witnesses for the marriage of Alexander's younger sister Agnes to a Mr. William Arnold. |
At age 62, Alexander Barton died of a stroke. |
