| Ruth Gravitt: rngrav@aol.com Subject: Re: Spencer Hill desc. needed for DNA July 2, 2011 1:25:10 PM PDT I found a post from a researcher of Spencer Hill who claimed that the Spencer Hill who m. Mary Denny was born in 1756. The one you are mentioning who m. Mary Rutherford and then Penelope Jane (Garrigues?) and died 1816 in Williamson County, TN was born either 1760 or 1762, The tree I have worked out based on this researcher's information (sorry I don't have their name at the moment) is that these two Spencer Hills were the grandsons of Ezekiel Hill of Northumberland County, VA. Ezekiel had Spencer (father of the 1756 Spencer) and Francis Hill who m. Mildred Dobbins and this couple were the parents of the 1760 Spencer Hill. I don't know if anyone has verified this. I will get more details on all of this in case you want it and in case we do need to arrange another DNA test. Please remind me of how you are related to this Hill line.
