Some have concluded that is might be Francis Hill, born 1739 in Shenandoah Co. A colonial Captain His father in turn may be Russell Hill, born 23 Feb 1716 in Middlesex, Middlesex Co., VA , died 7 Sept 1789, married 11 April 1738 in Christ Church an Anne Towles born 23 April 1719 in Middlesex Co., VA and died April 1789.
