On Dec 17, 2010, at 8:47 PM, charlba Dear Eric, I am sending this message to you because the Registrar of my local Daughter of the American Revolution Chapter forwarded your information for Sophronia Veronica Van Bibber. Veronica is my fifth great grandmother, her husband was George Dixon. I have joined DAR with GGGGG Grandpa George as my Ancestor. (1) I must prove that Sophronia and Veronica are the same person, as I have filled out papers to claim Captain Peter 4 Van Bibber Jr.as a supplemental ancestor. (2) I sent to Greenbrier County Clerk for copy of the Certificate of Marriage , it only list her name as Veronica. That is what she was known as in my family. (3) I would like to know if you have a legal source that is documented that list her as Sophronia Veronica? I have been told by National DAR that they have records that have both names. I am to look for bible records, how do you do that after 3 hundred years? I have three ancestor lines in DAR, what I am trying to do is just prove that my Veronica is really Peter 4 daughter. I Like the for mat for your tree. Did you design it? Sincerely, Charleta Beebe Affeldt |
