This genealogy suppositions that Martha and Thomas ar e brother/sister and since Martha Barton is his mother, his fatherdying early, and they move d together that they are related. p. 299 "The mother of Thomas Bennington was also named Martha and later she married Thomas Barton . It also seems likely that she was the Martha Barton whose estate was settled in 1806 in Bu tler County, Ohio (see page 249). Archibald Mahan was the administrator of the estate.
