| She died in Des Moines county, Iowa at 5 am on June 20, 1889 of consumption. Place of birth listed as Zanesville, OH. Age 49, lived in Iowa 12 years. Buried in Lexington, Illinois, July 22, 1889. Her son, Horace, age 15 when she died, applied for his father's Union veteran pension on 31 October 1889. He was living with his legal guardian, brother Edward, age 23, in Burlington, Iowa (where I found Uncle Edward in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses... but not Uncle Horace...) |
